A big thank you to all the staff and children at Christ Church Infants for a lovely year of smiley faces and for making me so welcome in the school. Everyone works so hard to make the school a delightful school to belong to. Well done Mrs Martin for a tremendous first year as Head Teacher. You have made such an impact in such a short time. I saw the Pirate sleepover and remembered my ship cassandra in year 2.I also saw my buddie hannah on some of the photos!Jamie said the year 2s and 1s went to Cardiff Casle like year 5 but it was a different castle after all!I heard Jamie is in Willow class next year.I am not sure if i was in that class!!

I just thought i would leave a comment to let you know how i am getting on at university. I under estimated the amount of paperwork that teachers do and i now cherish my weekends and evenings when i am on placement. Things have changed in the system so much since i was primary age, it's almost like learning everything all over again. I got soaked on my trip! On wednesday we are going to the river frome and actully going in the water i am so excited!This week jamie had little bunny and had fun at Blaze Castle putting him down the shoot and on the zip slide (poor little bunny!)CCJ is great and the chickens lay around 8 egg a day (wow!).

A HUGE thank you to everyone who brought in donations for Caring at Chrismas. I delivered a car-load of boxes to the Shelter yesterday. They were very grateful for all your donations, which will help many homeless people in Bristol have a place to stay and food to eat during Christmas week.

On behalf of all the volunteers at Dogsfriends we would like to send our thanks for the wonderful collection you made to help all our homeless dogs.

You can imagine how much food and blankets we get through as we have taken in and rehomed almost 300 dogs this year and, at any one time, we have between 40 - 60 dogs. Without all the volunteers and collections like yours we would find it very difficult to help so many who have nowhere else to turn to.

We enclose pictures of some of the dogs we have at present, who send personal thanks for helping them with food and blankets.

Gosh its been a long long time since i was here, everything seems to have changed so much apart from some of the faces that is!!! i was looking at the photos of the staff and very pleased to see that mrs hemmings (was TA when i was in reception) and Mrs Cavill (taught me for yr 1) are still there. i have now started my first year at university and am training to be a teacher so thankyou to all who gave me the burning passion from such a young age. CC infants was some of the best years ever and i will never forget it.

I would just like to thank all the sunflowers and teachers for letting me come in and talk about golf for Ellen's VIP week. I liked the school trip it was really fun! I liked the coach trip because it took us there and brought us home safely. I also enjoyed the walk across the bridge it was very high. We had a brilliant time at Westonbirt Arboretum yesterday. We enjoyed going on the coach. We liked going in the woods because we liked looking for the reindeer. Some of us saw the real Rudolph playing hide and seek! It was a surprise to see Father Christmas. We had real Christmas trees to plant at home. This afternoon we are decorating the tree we brought back.

I am having a fantastic time in Berlin which is the capital city of Germany. I have come here to see the Christmas Markets. There are hundred of little stalls selling beautiful Christmas decorations and lots of delicious food. I had a ride on a HUGE wheel in the middle of Berlin today. I could see for miles! I have made lots of new friends in Sunflower Class. I enjoy painting because I get my hands dirty and the other thing I like is the home corner but this is now changing into a pirate ship. Hello Mrs Cavill and Sunflower class. This term I have really enjoyed going on the timber trail, and I like going on the hop scotch. I like playing with the circles and playing in the house, in the playground. Most of all I have really enjoyed having Alfie Bear home for the weekend and playing with all my new friends.

I am having a great time in New England which is in the United States of America. It is very hot and sunny here. We flew into Boston in Massachusetts and stayed there for a few days. Today I am in the state of Maine staying in a pretty place called Bar Harbor. Tomorrow we are driving into the mountains. Hello every one, Myself and chick had a wonderfull time in Bangladesh. It was very hot and we went to the beach called cox bazar (You all can look in the world map where it is ) . chick found out that, it is one of the world longest beach. Is it true?. We also seen fisher man fishing my grandads pool in bangladesh.We been a zoo in chittagong and the capital Dakha where the Independence statue is ( this is the place people come to remember the war armies died to free the country. Hello Children,
Well, I thought I'd send you a message this time. I've now finished my travels up the east coast of Australia and have finished in a city called Cairns. I will send you a postcard from Cairns so you can see what it looks like. It's very humid in Cairns, as it is has a tropical climate. It also has very strong sunshine which make some days unbearably hot and uncomfortable when you are outside. Inside it's lovely and cool because the house I am staying in has air-conditioning. I have to make sure I put lots of sun cream on and drink lots of water to stop myself from burning and getting thirsty when I go for a walk! There are lots to see and do in Cairns. Do you remember the postcard I sent you from Brisbane? Well Cairns has a man-made lagoon, just like Brisbane's as well. So it's lovely to go swimming there. There's also a big shopping centre, just like The Mall in Cribbs Causeway which I'm sure some of you have seen. There are also Museums, Botanical Gardens, lovely walks and lots of places to eat. There are even McDonalds, KFC and Burger King (called Hungry Jacks) in Australia! Tomorrow I start the next part of my journey. I am flying down to Southern Australia to a city called Adelaide. Which should be lovely and sunny, but not as humid as Cairns. I'm now off to pick up some of my photos that I have had developed. Will write again soon.

Well done to all the Sunflowers. You were all fantastic in our class service! The singing was wonderful and you remembered to use loud voices so that everyone could hear you.

A big well done to the year 2 children who took part in the South Gloucestershire Festival of Sport at YOSC on Saturday. They had obviously enjoyed their recent tennis lessons after school and showed they had picked up some good tennis skills. It was lovely to see them all working as a team and representing the school at such an event. How proud they all were on receiving their medals at the end of the day - their faces were a picture. Thanks to Miss Taylor for organising it.

Just wondering why the newsletters section doesn't appear to be updated and is it likely to be?? In the past I've found this section really useful and a lifesaver at times when I've forgotten those all important events and dates!

The newletters usually go on the website within a day or two of being sent home. The two newletters sent home last week are now on the website - we had a few problems with an internet connection which delayed them going on for a few days. It's good to hear that this section of the website is useful for parents and carers.

I enjoyed being at the Arboretum and playing and running with Ella and the Teddy Bears took our food away.

A huge THANK YOU to you all from the children of Tanner Romania Mission for the socks that you collected. In the end I brought nearly 600 pairs with me to Romania.

The children here are very busy working in the workshop making Christmas cards and wooden crosses to sell, and have lots of fun in the afternoon doing arts and crafts, dancing and singing and going for walks. We have two new kittens and seven tiny piglets that we feed every day.

Soon the children are going to Constanta on holiday. It has a lovely beach and everyone will be able to swim in the sea.

Brilliant!! Well deserved award for website. How on earth did you get so much parental consent for children's photos to be shown? I'm having so much difficulty with that. Keep up the super work.

We make sure the parents/carers know that no name is ever put next to a photograph and we do not use children's full names. We send out new consent forms every year to all children.

Thank you to Georgina, Noah and Tina for the messages. We are hoping to come into school in a couple of weeks time. Olivia is getting so big. It will be nice to see staff and some of the children. I hope you are all enjoying being back at school and working hard!

Top site, it is uplifting to see so much on a site that is of interest. I like the way everything is up to date and the quality of the art work is outstanding. All I have to do now is convince my Y6 class that they can do something half as good! Please could you tell me, when you started off with IK what level did you enter at ?

We started building our website in September 2001. A class teacher and a teaching assistant went to ik.com's headquarters for a one day course. We had never been involved in building a website before, but all that is needed is basic computer skills.

I have just spent an hour looking at your site and I am really impressed with the amount of work you have put into it and your great ideas. I work at a school and we also have a website with IK.com and I think after seeing your site I will have to spend all of my weekends for the next year to make it as good as yours! Well done to you all!
